Elzly Technology Corporation (Elzly) is recruiting a CCAT Operations Manager in Norfolk, VA. Elzly is a growing consulting-engineering firm that provides technical services for corrosion prevention and control. Our services include assisting our clients with field investigations of corrosion phenomena, research and testing of materials, developing training materials, and development of specifications. Required Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; and one of the following: related military experience, completion of trade/industrial school, or trade experience.

Required Certification: Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Senior Certified Coatings Inspector (formerly NACE CIP Level III with peer review).

Desired Experience in any of the following:

  • Approximately fifteen (15) years of experience in the corrosion control field supporting U.S. Navy ship and submarine maintenance. This experience includes corrosion control issues, solutions, and requirements for both Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) and Combat Systems, Communications, Computers, Command and Control and Internet (C5I) systems and equipment.
  • Approximately ten (10) years of experience working with constraints associated with shipboard corrosion control and preservation maintenance. This experience includes surface preparation tools, corrosion control techniques and coating systems used on U.S. Navy ships and/or Coast Guard boats.
  • Approximately ten (10) years of experience with new corrosion control technologies on U.S. Navy and/or Coast Guard ships/boats.
  • Approximately ten (10) years of experience managing multiple Teams Lead and the Team operations across multiple geographic locations both CONUS and OCONUS.
  • Approximately ten (10) years of experience in corrosion prevention and control trade.

Physical Requirements: Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth vision, ability to adjust focus, work from a ladder or lift occasionally, safely lift 20 pounds, walk on uneven ground or terrain, work in confined spaces, crawl for extended periods of time, enter 24” diameter space, hearing, work outside (including inclement weather), manual dexterity (to handle small objects, instruments, or gages), wear a respirator, speaking and smelling.
